Caption: This extraordinary hoard containing a gold trefoil brooch from Frankia, a large golden neckring from Russia, Arabian, Byzantine, and English coins, and other items of the finest craftsmanship, which may be been collected in Paris as insurance against future Viking raids, was deposited in a bog in Hon, Norway.
